Which way is the greater then arrow?

Think of it this waythe alligator eats the biggest number
2 > 12 is greater then 1

3 < 43 is less then 4

notice how the sign opens towards the largest number...thats the alligator going for the bigger number...lol..stupid, I know, but it helped me remember

> rember the greater number is always getting eaten EXAMPLE 5>4 see the 5 would get eaten

The point (5, 10) will work for the rule y=x+5.y= 10 x= 510=5+510=10therefore the ordered pair (5, 10) works for the rule
