12x^2 - 13x = -3

12x^2 = 13x - 3

12x = 13 - 3

12x = 10

x = 0.75

Now we check...

12x^2 - 13x + 3 = 0

12(0.75)^2 - 13(0.75) + 3 = 0

12(0.5625) - 9.75 + 3 = 0

6.75 - 9.75 + 3 = 0

-3 + 3 = 0

0 = 0

Here you go!
