FedEx package express carrier is considering expanding the fleet of aircraft used to transport packages. There is a total of $475 million allocated for purchases. Three types of aircraft may be purchased: the F1, A1, and the P1. The F1 costs $22 million, The A1 cost $13 million, while the P1 costs $17 million. The F1 can carry 50,000 pounds of packages, The A1 can carry 32,000 pounds of packages, while the P1 can only carry 34,500 pounds of packages. The company needs at least 10 new aircraft. In addition, the firm wishes that the A1 is no more than 60% of F1 and P1 purchases. Formulate this as an integer programming problem to maximize the number of
pounds that may be carried by the planes. (Do not solve the problem, just
answer the questions listed.)
Let F = number of F1s to purchase
P= number of P1s to purchase
A= number of A1s to purchase
