In the third paragraph of his article, Morgan (1910) reports F2 data. After crossing a white-eyed male to red-eyed females, he crossed the red-eyed male and female F 1 To one another. In the F2: (a) he obtained 2459 females among 4252 offspring, and (b) among the 1793 males, 782 had white-eyes.

Use two separate chi-squared tests (one associated with observation a, the other associated with observation b) to determine whether these data agree with Morgan's predictions.
