Function or not? For every input (value between the parentheses), find the output using the given function. Secondly, tell whether the relation is a function or not. Remember that if the same input has two different outputs, the relation is not a function.
Ex: {(2, 14), (3, 16), (4, 14), (5, 16), (2, 20)}
Did you notice that 2 has two outputs: 14, and 20..
Note that if two inputs have the same output, the relations is a function:
Ex: {(2, 14), (3, 16), (4, 14), (5, 18), (6, 20)}, Example f(x) = β + Domain is only the positive real numbers
f(1) = β + = β + = β
f(0) = β + = β + = β = 1
f(3) = β + = β + = β

Follow these steps using the algebra tiles to solve the equation β5x + (β2) = β2x + 4. 1. add 5 positive x-tiles to both sides and create zero pairs. 2. add 4 negative unit tiles to both sides and create zero pairs. 3. divide the unit tiles evenly among the x-tiles. x =
