Find the slope of the line passing through the points (6, -6) and (4, -4)

To find the slope (m), use the slope formula:

        and plug in the two points

(4, -4) = (x₁, y₁)

(6, -6) = (x₂, y₂)

[lines usually go from left to right, so the point furthest to the left is the 1st point]

  [two negative signs cancel each other out and become positive]

m = -1
