The system of equations will be as following below!

6t + 4b = 188
t + b = 38

I’ll use substitution to solve this.

t = 38 - b

6(38 - b) + 4b = 188

228 - 6b + 4b = 188

-2b = -40

b = 20

t + 20 = 38

t = 18

So there are 20 booths and 18 tables in the Country Buffet!
