7. A group was selling tickets for their fundraising event. For the first day of the event, they sold 30 pre-sale tickets and 45 tickets at
the door. For the second day, they sold 40 pre-sale tickets and 20 at the door. They made $180 more on the tickets for the first day
than they did for the second day. All tickets were the same price. How much did they charge for each ticket? Write and solve an
equation
o Lett represent the ticket price.
o The expression 30t + 45t tells us how much they made in ticket sales the first day,
o Write an expression for how much they made in ticket sales the second day
If we subtract $180 from how much they made the first day, then that will be equal to how much they made the second day,
since they made $180 more on the first day
Set 30t + 451 - 180 equal to the expression you wrote for ticket sales the second day.
Solve the equation fort to find out how much the group charged for each ticket

Walgreens sells both kleenex and nyquil. in a random sample of 5000 purchases, it was found that 1200 contained kleenex and 540 contained nyquil. these are not independent because sick people are more likely to buy both and healthy people more likely to buy neither. in looking into that, it was found that 360 purchases contained both. a. make a two-way table to display this information. fill in the table with the missing entries, and be sure your table has row and column totals. b. if we randomly select a purchase that contained kleenex, what is the probability it also contained nyquil? c. what percent of all purchases didn’t contain either product?
