Lego is a hobby of millions of children and adults around the world. The sets you can buy are immense, but it is the actual sandbox creation aspect that captures so many minds. I have 1252 standard 2x4 bricks and 464 of the more unusual but fun to use 2x1 bricks. The building competition that I joined won’t allow me to use these, plus I can’t take previously used bricks. So I bought 1185 new 2x4’s, 480 2x2’s and 130 2x1s. The new bricks set me back £123. Having said that, the prize money is double this, which is £118 more than the value of my original collection. I realised cost of the 2x4 bricks to the 2x2 bricks is in the ratio 2:1.
How much does one of each size brick cost?
