Find the point of intersection of the lines: y=4x+1 and y=-2x+4

in this problem, there is only one intersection point, because the problem above is two straight lines.

has two straight lines namely

y = 4x + 1(first equation)

and

y = -2x + 4(second equation)

look for the x value first

y1 = y2

4x + 1 = -2x + 4

6x = 3

x = ½

then find the value of y by entering the first equation

y = 4x + 1

y = 4(½) + 1

y = 2 + 1

y = 3

Finally, the intended intersection point is (½,3)
