The word "Per" means 100. To find the percentage of two numbers, you'll multiply the percentage by 100, then divide it by what the "part" is.

Step 1. Multiply the percentage. Like I've said before, we multiply the percentage by 100. The percentage would be 3, if 8 was the percentage, it would be a repeating decimal, which the percent isn't repeating. So, we can multiply 3 by 100.

3 × 100 = 300

Step 2. Divide the part by the percentage. The "part" would be 8, because  if you divide 800 by 3, it will be a repeating decimal. So, we'll have to divide 300 by 8 to get the percentage.

300 ÷ 8 = 37.5

Hence, 37.5 is the answer.
