Can anyone with the next part on this tbt im really struggling with 6 and 8 and show work

An advertising firm has an old computer that can prepare a whole mailing in 6 hours. with the of newer model the job is complete in 2 hours. how long would it take the newer model to do the job alone?

If the value of x increases by 5, how does the value of m(x + 3) change? a) it increases by 5m. b) it increases by 8m. c) it decreases by 5m. d) it decreases by 8m.

How do i start to solve? would appreciate a walk-thru! a bird sitting 16ft above the ground in an apple tree dislodges an apple. after how many seconds does the apple land on the ground? (assuming that no branches will interfere with it's fall)
