An athlete`s foot ( or: Tinea Pedis ) is a fungal infection of the skin on the feet. It is spread by Tinea Pedis ( Dermatophyles ). The symptomes are: itching, burning between the toes, cracking and pealing skin on the feet, itching and burning on the soles of the feet, crumbly toenails. The treatment is: with antifugal medications, such as miconazole, terbinazine, butenafine and other. If it doesn`t help, then use of topical or oral antifugal medications. As an alternative therapy: tea tree oil.
