Which expression cannot be simplified?

a. 8x - 8
b. 8x - x
c. 8x + 5x
d. (8 + 5)x
e. -(x + x)

i think it's c because it is the simplified version of d. (8 + 5)x, but i could be wrong and i need to show my work for the others, which i don't quite understand how i could simplify 8x - 8 as it is pretty simple already.
