Amom with four children decided she wanted to control how to divide up the amount of halloween candy collected. she combined all their candy into one big bag and this was how she divided it… to the oldest child, a boy, she gave one candy bar and 1/4 of what remained; and to each of the other children she did the same. (gave one candy bar + 1/4 of the rest) the second child was a girl, the third a boy, and the last a girl. it was found that the boys had received 100 more candy bars than the girls. what was the initial number of candy bars and how many did each person get?
