The only one that doesn't have 2 kinds of numbers is the second to the last one. You start out with 2 ducks and buy 6 more. There is no subtracting in that instance. Your flock is getting larger, not smaller. All the others have plus and minus numbers.

Your teacher missed the second one which you said was no. It should be yes. It is subtractive. You are going below zero degrees F. And to get there you need to subtract. That one should be yes, not no.

The answer to the first one is a bit ambiguous, but it is subtraction. given the other questions, I believe you are to think that he goes up 2 and then from the top of two, he drops 6 feet. The wording is just a bit different and it could mean the 6 is below sea level. It doesn't matter because it is still subtraction. You have it right.
