Simplifying the above we get:
P(x)=167960*0.6^9*0.4^11
P(x)=0.071

b] Probability of obtaining 6 failures in 12 trials
P(x)=[12!/(6!(12-6)!)]*0.4^6*(0.6)^(12-6)
simplifying the above we obtain:
P(x)=924*0.4^6*0.6^6
P(x)=0.1766
