Why was the issue of searching a person's property so important in the time before the American Revolution? There was much theft occurring before the Revolution and unjustified search was the only way to re-claim goods.
People have always had trouble with searches
Before the Revolution, the British often subjected American citizens to unjustified searches
After the Revolution, American soldiers searched residences for traitors.
