Riflection 11 of the Bill of Rights provides the right to Life, Section 10 provides the
Right to Human Dignity and Section 9 provides the Right to Equality but

, like these provisions are failing to prevent the high rate of crimes such
as murder and all other serious crimes. Based on your understanding of the law, in
the fight against crime and violence, do you think the death penalty should be
reinstated/brought back into our justice system as a form of punishment?
In your response, do the following:
(a) Explain what death penalty is and give examples of countries still practicing it as
a form of punishment.

the centre, provide your opinion on whether the death penalty will be an appropriate
form of punishment for our present and growing society.
