1. Police Officer Rector observed an automobile going the wrong direction on a one-way street. When the officer tried to stop the automobile, the driver fled, resulting in a high-speed chase. The chase ended when the driver’s car crashed into a telephone pole. Concerned that the car might ignite from a gas leak, the officer pulled the unconscious woman from the car. As he was grabbing the woman from the car, he saw he a knife covered in blood on the front seat. After pulling the woman to safety the officer went back to the vehicle and recovered the knife.
