How has the american space exploration program likely improved the quality of life for people around the world?

The American space exploration program, developed during the Cold War, resulted in the created of many technologies/resources we use today. Here is a list of some of these creations:

1) Memory foam mattresses
2) LED's used for cancer treatments
3) Satellites- We still use these daily for GPS signal and cell phone service.
