Why did the tokugawa shogunate try to limit japan's contact with the outside world?

 The Tokugawa shogunate limited contact between Japan and the outside world because of the following reasons:

a.Foreign influence would hurt Japan's social order.

b.Foreign influence could only decrease the government's power.

c.The Tokugawa wanted to preserve Japanese culture.
