Hawks and Dove during the Vietnam war were the group of people in America who followed different policies when it came to foreign policies.

The Hawks were a group of people who wanted war. They get the name based on the nature of the bird as they are predators that attack and eat other animals. Whereas, the dove is calm and historically a symbol of peace.

The Hawks, during the Vietnam War, believed the North Vietnam attack on the South forced America to get entangled in the war. Doves did not desire any conflict as they considered it to be the internal matter of Vietnam. According to them, the US had no right to be required in the war and needed to spend money in the domestic affairs of America.
