So basically, Israel sees claim to that land because of what is mentioned in the Bible and the Palestinians see it the same way. However, much of the Arab world despises Jews, I don't know why. Once the Jews moved in, many Arab countries closed ranks to help Palestine. There really isn't any way to avoid tensions because both sides. Most likely, the area will stay tense.
