What describes dwight eisenhower's response to communism

Dwight Eisenhower's response to the communism was Eisenhower Doctrine. It was proposed on Jan 5th, 1957. President Dwight D. Eisenhower proposed it for keeping the Middle East away from the influence of Communism. It was a continuation of the Policy of containment. The policy promised military and economic aid to middle eastern countries to resist communist aggression. It  aimed to prevent the middle east from Soviet influence, especially when  Egypt was attacked by combined forces of Israel, Britain, and France in 1957.
