The American Indian Movement was formed in 1968. Among the main achievements is the work to support Native Americans rights. Originally, the AIM was a self-defense group that demanded respect from police brutality. AIM protects the rights of Native American tribes in the United States, protects the right to control the Indian resources, and their right to worship freely to its ancestors.

The United Farm Workers of America, or United Farm Workers (UFW), originated from the merger of the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee (AWOC and the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA) led by Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta. The Alliance fights for the workers' rights since the strikes of 1965. The impact of this Union has been positive. Besides of defending the worker’s rights, the union cares for the betterment and wealth of its workers. UFW became part of the AFL-CIO in 1972.
