The Carolina Piedmont would no longer be loyalists who flocked to the King's rule, they had a new spirit. The British had taken a serious strategical blow, though more fighting would lay ahead, this turning point changed the war and in a little over a year Cornwallis surrendered to Washington in Yorktown.
