The Phoenician Alphabet helped to communicate and share ideas and information. The Phoenicians gave the idea of the Alphabet to the Greeks, who then passed it on to the Romans and their writing technique was the foundation of most early languages.  The Canaan technique of writing had 22 symbols and or letters helped in keeping records.
