In all of the four River Valley Civilizations, religion was one of the biggest contributors to shaping all of the civilizations. Religious leaders played a big role in making sure the river valley civilizations were in tip-top shape. But, in the Indus River Valley, the priests were preferred as the first class who had many different portions of power. In Egypt their pharaoh was a god to them, and had so much power that he could kill a person and they would say nothing. Though in Sumer it was totally different, the kingdom was organized into city-states and the different kings ruled each city-state equally and fairly for their gods. They all had similar portions and it was all shared equally. They may all be similar in some ways, but when it comes to their religion many things are different.
