Me for 25 points read article ix of the united states bill of rights: the enumeration in the constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. what does the word disparage suggest about the rights "retained by the people." the rights are given by the one document that can also take them away. the rights are important enough to protect against even an insult. the rights come from a source that is mightier than the constitution. the rights of the people are disposable, unlike the constitution.
