Process
Write a 500+ word comparative essay involving two new countries. You should choose one democracy and one dictatorship, neo-fascist state, or communist state. Include the following considerations in your essay:

What conditions and/or ideologies led to the change of government?
Was the new government the result of military conflict, or was the transition peaceful?
Did a different country give military, economic, or humanitarian assistance to the new governments?
Examine basic economic indicators and humanitarian conditions and evaluate the success of the new governments.
Why are these governments succeeding or failing?
