George Jacob is the old man in the red cape down pleading.  This is a painting of George trial.   Jacobs' daughter-in-law is the woman standing who is being held back.  George's principal accuser was his own granddaughter, who was accusing George in order to save her own life.  He looks paniced and stressed but not because he is guilty of anything.  The room is intense with a lot of emotions.
