The year is 1828. AMERICAN businesses are struggling to sell their products because their prices to higher than FOREIGN products. Congress passes a TARIFF that makes foreign good more expensive. Now AMERICAN businesses can sell more products, make more $$, employ more workers, etc. However, South Carolina does not want to pay this TARIFF.
