Even if its completely irrelevant to our history, we are forced to learn it. America is supposed to be the home of diversity, yet we cannot be diverse if we don't know or barely teach other peoples culture. I think if a teacher picked a new person at the end or the beginning of class to teach for a few minutes (and rotate the person they pick, one day a Hispanic, then Chinese etc.) then a small quiz at the end of the week. You teach someone new, and you can still get a grade for it
