How can the people influence political decisions?

At the national and state levels, people vote for politicians to represent them in Parliament. These Parliaments make decisions and laws for all citizens. This system of electing politicians to represent us in Parliament is called representative democracy.

To influence someones political decision, you need to be respectful. Being respectful is a big part of trying to get someone to understand your side. State your facts, where you got your facts, and undertand where they are coming from as well. Always be open minded it's okay to be wrong! If you're wrong you're learning.
