what do i do i have liked this guy for a long time on and off and me friend had a group of people together and it just happens that he was there. we were watching a movie and we cuddled an he almost kissed me an later that night we all went for a walk and he held my hand. But he had just broken up from a 7 month realation ship after realizing it was toxic. so i dont know if he was trying to get back at his ex bc hes like " just takes a pic of us kissig" me like" huh" arrghhh help what do i do

If I was in your shoes I would have talked to him, like maybe go out and meet up somewhere and talk about it. See if he is trying to get back with his toxic ex, and if he isn't you have to ask yourself " is he even ready for another relationship right now ?" because you never ever wanna throw yourself at a guy because it will make you look like you are desperate. Once you figure out if he is ready or trying to go back to his ex you have your answer.

If he wants his ex you know he is not right for you because like you said his ex is toxic and if he wants a toxic person he will most likely become toxic himself.

If he wants to get into a healthy relationship then talk, take baby step by

1. starting to text and hang a little bit more.

2. after at least a month or so talk to him about how you feel, if he feels the same take it to the talking stage

3. once you guys think the taking stage is over dig into that cake you always wanted to get into that relationship.

Quick things to look at for :

- Does not want to go public for reason like :

1. He does not want people to know ( he is either embarrassed or talking to another person while with you )  

2. Never wants to go out with you somewhere

3. Never lets you use his phone for something, even if it so little.
