A new trend now is possibly overalls, or crop tops. Flappers were seen as brash for wearing excessive makeup, drinking, smoking, driving automobiles, and otherwise flouting social norms. They challenged the previously accepted mores of society in every regard.

Nowdays, crop tops are used to sometimes show off more of your body, wearing makeup can also help the style. Overalls on the other hand can be different because they are more used in an aesthetic type of way.

Similarly, all of them are used for showing of a cute look I believe. Flappers were a bit more in trend though.
