How would the use of the Electoral College change if the "winner-take-all" rule was abolished and all states followed the proportional voting system? The Electoral College would no longer use electoral votes in a presidential election.
Third-party candidates would still not be able to win an electoral vote.
The total number of electoral votes would change in the Electoral College.
Different parties could win separate electoral votes in all fifty states.
