Very popular in academic teaching and discussing in Canadian literature. The poem is still popular today. It is often quoted around Remembrance Day (Veterans Day in the U. S.). Wearing silk poppies around Remembrance Day, especially in Commonwealth countries, is still a tradition. Many people still support the wives and children of the fallen soldiers in these battles.
