What are the arguments for and against government regulation of businesses and industries in a capitalist system explain which side of the argument you favor with appropriate evidence

Those who oppose regulation of industries in a capitalist system often argue that regulation leads to inefficiency. The argument is that economics runs as a naturally regulated system (often referred to as the "invisible hand") and intervention by governments ruins the natural balance of industries, leading to a bad economy. Therefore, lack of regulations should lead to higher profits and more competitive industries.

Those who support regulation argue that in the pursuit of efficiency, profits are given more importance than human lives, and industries get a free pass to do anything they need to do in order to get more profits, whether this includes violation of human rights, unethical practices, encouraging consumerism, damage to the welfare state, massive layoffs, etc. They also argue that there is very little evidence to support the idea of the "invisible hand" actually improving economy.

5. clinton: defense of marriage act. clinton signed this controvesial act, which defined marriage and spouses in strict heterosexual perspective, that was later declard unconstitutional by the us supreme court.

6. george w bush: in the begining of his presidency, which lasted until 2009, bush jr faced the greatest terrorist attacks in us and probably the worlds history, in september, 11 of 2001.

7. obama: in attempts to cease a great economical crisis, barack obama signed the controversial recovery act in february 2009, which handled 780-billion dollars.
