What was the reaction of american colonists to the proclamation of 1763?

It legally recognized florida and quebec as part of the british colonies and did not allow colonists past the appalachian mountains . This upset the colonists because they had to pay more tax for imperial regulation . 

Both countries had to aprove annexation.
