Now that you’ve completed this section of the course, you have seen what caused world war ii and have learned of the events of the war. many lives were lost, the horrors of the holocaust occurred, and the world entered the nuclear age. world war ii caused many changes to the world, as we’ll see in the next unit. for this assignment, look back to the start of the war and consider the events that led up to the war’s outbreak. could the war have been avoided? if you think it could have been avoided, what events, if they had occurred differently or not at all, could have possibly prevented the war? if you think it could not have been avoided, explain why. were conditions such that the war was inevitable? explain your answer in detail.
