Why might the saint domingue slave revolt in 1791 be considered one of the most important independence movements in the americas?

The successful revolution of slaves proved that Africans were capable of defeating European powers.  I just did the test it right.

the mother countries succeed in doing that by using the colony's natural resources, facilities in a colony, they do not take good care of these facilities, causing them to fail. this has had negative and positive effects on the people of africa, they then governed through direct or indirect rule depending on the country.

i think the answer is: cuba wanted to be independent from spain, and the u.s. wanted to end spanish rule in the west.
