What were the benefits and drawbacks of having a railroad run through your city in the 1800s?

this is what i have so far.
benefits:
faster transportation of goods
shorter trips
more connections
better business
commercial traffic
gdp
drawbacks:
pollution
immigrants who built them died from labor
safety issues- sickness could spread easier
the town would often have to physically rearrange businesses.
