Compare how a positively charged object and a negatively charged object interact with a neutral object.

Both Positive and negative charge attracts neutral object.

When neutral object comes in electric field of a positive charge, then it attains negative charge on it, and attracts other charge.
Same thing happens with negative charge, in that case, it attains positive charge and attracts the negative charge
