Alexander was great because, Alexander III also known as Alexander the great. The full name of Alexander was Alexander III of Macedon, he was also know as Alexander the great.

When his father died he eventually became king in 336 BC. and he proved to be a great king from a very young age. He conquered many areas of the world and ruled them victoriously.

He was popular by his military genius and diplomatic skills. He ruled for almost 13 years and he died at Babylon in 323 BC.
