During the nineteenth century, the actions to industrialize New England taken place because the Agriculture in New England was not highly profitable.

New England's climate was too cold and the summers are too compact, due to which the agriculture fields could not make out profit from agriculture in the South. The northern business opened quickly after the War of 1812.
