Mauritania was the last country in the world t outlaw slavery in the year 1981. Research has shown however, that slavery still exists in the country and that children are sometime born into it.

Uzbekistan is another country where modern day slavery exists as the government forces millions to the cotton fields where they pick cotton which the government exports for revenue.
