What were the causes and consequences of the Black Hawk War?

Cause:The trigger point for the war was when Black Hawk and warriors from the Kickapoos, Meskwakis and Sauks crossed the Mississippi River into the territory of Illinois. Though Black Hawk's motives were mysterious his intent was to recapture the land that the US had claimed in the 1804 treaty without bloodshed.
