Satellite states include the Peoples Republic of Poland, Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, German Democratic Republic, Peoples Republic of Hungary, Socialist Republic of Romania, and the Peoples Republic of Bulgaria. The Yugoslavian areas were aligned until 1948 and include Slovenia SR, Croatia SR, Bosnia & Herzegovina SR, Serbia SR, Montenegro SR, and Macedonia SR. Albania was aligned with the Soviet Union until 1960.
